Telstra has revealed the addition of almost one million new mobile services in the six months to December 2011, but Sensis revenues plummeted 24 percent in 12 months.
Optus has named Noel Hamill as director marketing & strategy for Optus Business. He takes over from Paul Kitchin who has moved to the role of managing director, Optus Small & Medium Businesss.
Hamill will add the marketing and product portfolios to his current Optus Business strategy responsibilities that he has held for the past two years. In his new role he will be responsible for the go-to-market activities for Optus Business’ Internet Protocol (IP) and convergence marketing initiatives. Optus says it aims to be the leader in this market by 2010.
He is also charged with growing Optus' ICT services business through Alphawest and for gaining market share in mobility with 3G and Optus Wireless Connect.
According to the head of Optus Business, John Simon, “Optus Business has taken much of the last 12 months priming itself to take on the rest of the industry in the corporate and government sector, particularly where next generation technologies such as IP are concerned."
