Bigger regional role for EMC appointee

EMC Australia has expanded the role of its director of marketing, Australia and New Zealand, Wendy Reid, to include a new leadership role as senior director of marketing programs and events for the Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ) region.

EMC's Asia Pacific and Japan, vice president, marketing, Chris Lee, said that in her new extended role, Reid will take up 'ownership of the global campaigns for the region and work with regional and divisional marketing teams to ensure that campaigns are translated into the most impactful and relevant programs for EMC APJ.'

Reid will also be responsible for expanding EMC's brand profile and market presence across Asia Pacific and Japan.

Reid's 18 year career in IT across Asia Pacific and Europe, include her role as EMC director of marketing ANZ, at IBM Australia as group marketing manager software ANZ, and as marketing manager Asia Pacific for Tivoli.

Based in Singapore, Reid will continue to report to Chris Lee.
