Wireless networks provider, Aruba Networks, has appointed a new head of its Australian and New Zealand business as the company looks to grow its marketshare in the region with a new focus on a what it says is a broader architectural approach to network access for enterprise mobility.
Vincent Chiappazzo joins Aruba as managing director Australian and New Zealand from Motorola where he was managing director, Australia and New Zealand for the enterprise mobility business, and before that, southern region manager and director of channels & marketing for Symbol (acquired by Motorola in 2007).
'This is an exciting time to be part of Aruba Networks. Aruba has moved beyond simply providing wireless access and now is focused on a broader architectural approach to network access for enterprise mobility,' Chiappazzo said.
'As enterprises and IT departments try and come to terms with a work environment that is increasingly mobile and more and more based on alternative devices such as tablets and smartphones, Aruba, together with its partners is uniquely positioned to help organisations meet these challenges.'
Chiappazzo joined Symbol/Motorola from Microsoft where he was manager, commercial enterprise accounts in Melbourne, and also spent seven years with Cisco Systems, including as regional sales manager. He also worked with Standard Microsystems Corporation and Compaq.
