Smith to head Symantec.cloud in APJ

Symantec has appointed Brenton Smith as vice president of the Symantec.cloud business in Asia Pacific and Japan.


"With more than 20 years' experience spanning Asia Pacific across a number of multinational IT application and software vendors, Brenton has the knowledge and expertise to lead the continued growth of Symantec's cloud business in the Asia Pacific and Japan region," said Richard Collins, vice president, global sales.

"Brenton will be responsible for working with our sales team and channel partners to offer customers the simplest, market leading, security cloud platform to enable customers to trust us with their information security and management so that they can focus on running their business," he added.

Mr Smith was most recently managing director for Australia and New Zealand at CA Technologies. He previously held management and sales development roles at BusinessObjects, Siebel Systems, Brightstar Information Technology Group and SAP.
