AWA appointee heads up logistics

IT services vendor, AWA Limited, has appointed Rod Wallace as executive manager, Service Logistics, charged with increasing the company's market share of the service logistics business in Australia and New Zealand.

AWA, managing director, Mark Rainbird said Wallace has a wealth of experience 'that is just what AWA needs at this time as we focus on growing our service logistics business in response to customer requests and new market opportunities.'

Rainbird said Wallace will manage some of AWA's existing key account customers and will focus on introducing some new customers to AWA's service logistics operations. 'With experience as both a customer and as a provider of logistics services, he is well placed to understand the challenges that organisations face and also to know how to create the services that will add real value their businesses.'

Wallace's previously worked with Lexmark where he most recently headed up customer services for Asia Pacific and was also head of Lexmark's Operations, Logistics and Supply Chain teams. He also worked for a number of global multinationals and Australian organisations including Advantra, Computer Logistics Solutions, TGE Australia and New Zealand and Wyse Technology.
