EMC is looking to grow its services business in Australia and New Zealand with the appointment of a new global services director for the region.
EMC president ANZ and South East Asia, David Webster, has announced the appointment of Adrian Iannessa. Webster said Iannessa will be responsible for overseeing the global services teams, in particular the presales and professional services units, and 'executing strategic initiatives which will help grow the services business in Australia and New Zealand.'
Iannessa joined EMC in 1998. He previously held various senior management roles in the presales, delivery and technology arena, both locally and across Asia.
Webster said Iannessa's appointment to the global services director position will see him become a part of the EMC ANZ senior leadership team. 'EMC has been investing significantly in its Global Services offering to deliver an enhanced service delivery model and a well-balanced portfolio of initiatives focused on customer experience, efficiency and growth. I am confident Adrian will lead EMC's Global services business it to its next important phase of growth in the ANZ market.'
Based in Melbourne, Iannessa will report directly to Webster and to Peter Lacoste, vice president, global services, EMC Asia Pacific and Japan.
