Baxter piped on board at Vocus

Steve Baxter has joined the board of Vocus Communications, a provider of wholesale data centre, voice, peering and international Internet connectivity.

Mr Baxter was the co-founder and technical director/CTO of PIPE Networks. He previously founded ISP SENet, which was acquired by OzEmail in 1998.

"I am delighted to be working with Steve again, his industry skills and experience will be a huge asset to the board of directors," said Vocus chairman David Spence. Mr Spence was variously president, COO and CEO of OzEmail, and was also managing director of wireless broadband provider Unwired.

"I have known the Vocus team for many years from my days at PIPE Networks," said Mr Baxter. "I am very happy to be invited to join the board in this non executive role and look forward to Vocus' exciting future."
