Telstra has revealed the addition of almost one million new mobile services in the six months to December 2011, but Sensis revenues plummeted 24 percent in 12 months.
Polycom has appointed Christopher Taylor as services director for the Asia Pacific region, to be based in Hong Kong and responsible for all elements of Polycom Global Services' business in the Asia Pacific region.
Taylor replaces Dave Ertel who is moving to the UK to manage technical support across Europe and the Middle East. He will report to Geno Alissi, vice president and general manager of PGS Worldwide. He was previously the acting director for Cisco's Asia Pacific Advanced Services in Hong Kong. He has also worked as Compaq Technical Services' manager based in Dubai.
According to Alissi, "2005 was a very busy year for Polycom Global Services in the Asia Pacific region with the opening of two new parts depots, an additional level one call centre, over 500 technical staff (partners and customers) trained and an increased headcount across the region of 30 percent".
