Fujitsu is focussing on growth in the government sector with the appointment today of a group executive director for its federal government business in Australia, and to oversee projects with its ACT business clients.



Fujitsu Australia and New Zealand CEO, Rod Vawdrey, said announced the appointment of Phil McCormack as the Group Executive Director for Federal Government business group, who he said would be 'responsible for driving all Fujitsu projects within the Federal Government and the various ACT businesses based in Canberra.'

Vawdrey said McCormack would reporting directly to him, as part of Fujitsu Australia and New Zealand's senior management team, and would 'continue with the commitment that Fujitsu has made to the Federal Government to work with them to gain real benefit from the delivery of IT services and solutions.'

McCormack joined Fujitsu in 2005 as executive general manager, business advisory and support which included responsibility for the company's legal and commercial functions.  He was previously director, corporate transaction services (Asia Pacific) for Accenture.
