OzHub, the Macquarie Telecom-led cloud computing alliance, has come down firmly on the side of Optus over the copyright controversy surrounding Optus TV Now, warning that any moves to change the law "risk branding Australia a global luddite state."
Australian converged communications research and consulting firm, Telsyte, has appointed a new commercial director who the company says is responsible for managing and growing its market research sales, marketing and strategic partnerships team.
Telsyte managing director, Jonathan Jones announced the appointment of Nick Gonios who he said will lead the next phase of growth “as part of driving Telsyte’s expansion into converged communications, digital media and content research and market insights.”
“Gonios brings nearly two decades of commercial experience across enterprise technology and services, digital media and mobile. Recently, he co-founded two digital and mobile media businesses and previously held senior roles across business development, program management and strategic partnerships with HotHouse Interactive, Fujitsu, Microsoft, and Gartner.”
