Software developer, Pronto Software has appointed Luke Thomas as product manager - financials, charged with driving the direction, development and take-to-market strategy of the company's finance applications.
Pronto Software managing director, David Jackman said Thomas would manage the financial architecture development of Pronto's flagship product, PRONTO-Xi, and provide 'strategic input to the company's R&D team to continue evolving the solution so it meets rising regulatory requirements from the industry.'
According to Thomas, many accountants struggle to find the time to provide consulting and management accounting services to their clients. 'My aim is to evolve PRONTO-Xi for the end-user, so it gives them the time and power to understand their business as well as analyse key financial data.'
Thomas will also concentrate on Pronto Software's international growth. 'In order to support Pronto's continued push into international markets, my job is to ensure we constantly evolve to meet the needs of a global market.'
Prior to joining Pronto Software, Thomas spent seven years at MYOB Australia, where he held several positions ranging from technical support, training and education, before assuming the position of Global Developer Program Manager. In January 2009, Thomas established 2020 Asia Pacific, the Asia Pacific constituent of 2020 International, a leading membership organisation for progressive accountants and tax professionals in the UK, Ireland, Canada and USA.
