IT People - People

Datacom has moved quickly to appoint a new group CEO following the sudden and untimely death of Michael Browne.

Datacom has appointed Jonathan Ladd as its new group CEO, a position that became vacant upon the sudden death of Michael Browne last weekend, just weeks after he was promoted to the role.

Ladd has been a director of Datacom for four years, and had worked closely with Browne, company officials said.

His 33 years in IT includes a 10-year stint as P&O's CIO.

"There will be no change in Datacom's direction and the company will continue with its growth plans as previously set by Michael and the board," Datacom officials stated.
