Former Telstra strategy chief to head Asia Pac marketing for Alcatel-Lucent

Alcatel-Lucent has appointed Telstra's former executive director of corporate strategy Elizabeth Aris to the newly created position of head of marketing, strategy and public affairs for Asia Pacific.

She will be based in Shanghai and will report to Rajeev Singh-Molares, president of Alcatel-Lucent in the Asia Pacific region.

She joined Telstra in 2006 and before being appointed executive director corporate strategy was in turn executive director small business customers and executive director large corporate customers in Telstra Business. She left the company in November 2009.

Prior to joining Telstra she served as strategy consultant for Microsoft from 2005 to 2006 and held senior management positions with SAP and Westpac Banking Corporation.

Singh-Molares said that “Alcatel-Lucent was "transforming our marketing to bring our strategy to life for customers and the broader market," but did not elaborate further.
