Kaspersky appointment in boost for 'aggressive' ANZ expansion

Kaspersky Lab has appointed a new business development manager for Australia and New Zealand, charged with expanding the company's partner base in the region, as the company pursues an aggressive growth strategy for the ANZ market.

Kaspersky Australia managing director, Alexey Gromyko, said the appointment of Scott Macdonald, a 10-year veteran of the telecoms and sports industries, reflected the company's commitment to and the support of the local market.

Gromyko said that Macdonald would oversee the development of and relationship with the business's corporate sales channel, and is also responsible for raising the brand's profile in the B2B sector.  He will report to Kaspersky's ANZ sales director, Andrew Mamonitis.


Macdonald previously worked with the International Management Group (IMG), Siemens Australia and Hutchinson Telecoms. Prior to joining Kaspersky, he most recently worked with Melbourne Football Club as commercial partnerships manager.
