Retail Directions wins Unwin over

Retail Directions, a supplier of software to the retail industry, has appointed Sal Unwin as business development manager for Asia Pacific.

"We are pursuing a consistent, global growth strategy and we're delighted to have Sal on board to support this effort. After many years of relying on word of mouth from satisfied retail customers, a new focus on sales will accelerate our expansion," said managing director Andrew Gorecki.

Unwin most recently worked for Ajilon, and previously held sales management positions at Software AG and Sybase.

"There are many retailers struggling with unwieldy, expensive and restrictive IT systems so I'm looking forward to showing them that there is another way. Retail Directions knows retail and provides a system that is not only simple and intuitive but is far more cost effective than other systems which can make a significant difference to the bottom line," she said.
