Microsoft veteran Veghte joins HP

In another change to its senior executive team, HP has hired the former senior vice president of Microsoft's Windows business.


HP has appointed Bill Veghte as executive vice president of its software and solutions business.

"Bill has built a reputation as an experienced business leader with a proven track record of driving growth and innovation," said Ann Livermore, executive vice president of HP's enterprise business.

"Expanding our software and solutions business is critical to HP, and Bill's broad experience across sales, marketing and engineering will be instrumental in driving this business forward and in strengthening our strategic partnerships with our clients," she added.

During his 20 years at Microsoft, Veghte held a variety of executive roles in research and development, sales, services and marketing.
