Mobile operators get fixed price spectrum renewal in $3b Government windfall

The Government has offered Australia's three mobile operators, and vividwireless, renewal of their existing spectrum allocated on 15 year licences in the late 90s and early 2000s at set prices, while the Government expects to rake in $3 billion.

Billington takes CEO spot at Acxiom

Acxiom has appointed Warren Billington as its chief executive officer for Australia and New Zealand.


"Warren combines a wealth of experience in business and consumer marketing with strategic and operational skills in a field that is marketing and technology driven," said chief operating officer John Adams.

"We believe his expertise in Acxiom's traditional space of the provision of marketing solutions plus his successful track record in developing multichannel, interactive marketing initiatives make him the ideal choice to drive our future growth potential in the Australian and New Zealand market," he added.

Billington was the co-founder of 5th Finger, and previously worked for Red Sheriff, Claritas, and Pacific Micromarketing.

His predecessor at Acxiom, Paul Turner, now manages the company's customer data integration and customer information products and services throughout the Asia Pacific region.
