Security and energy efficiency integrator Pacen has appointed Robert Edward as its sales manager with responsibility for regional business development.

"Everything points to a future where energy costs will rise enormously. Most businesses are looking to make every budget dollar count, and IT departments are certainly now under the gun to monitor and limit energy usage - to protect their organisation's bottom line," said Edward.

The appointment is a promotion for Edward, who joined the company as an engineer when it was founded in 2000.

Pacen is also expanding the technical centre at its Sydney HQ and is recruiting three additional engineers, two of whom will focus on energy efficiency.
