Project management specialist Protegic, has appointed David Thompson as its new chief executive officer.
"Greg Ward, the current CEO based in Adelaide, was looking to step down so that the role could be based in Melbourne from where the main hub of Protegic staff operate. Greg will continue as shareholder and director with specific responsibilities for South Australia and group administration matters," said Neil Gamble, chairman of the company's advisory board.
"Greg Ward has taken the company through this growth period, so we are very appreciative of his efforts in achieving this. Having David Thompson at the helm brings a new skill set to the senior management team and with his experience we will see Protegic grow from this excellent base," Gamble added.
Thompson joined Protegic earlier this year as general manager sales and marketing. He was previously vice president Asia Pacific for software vendor AXS-One.
"There is a large and ready market for these project management skills including the overarching project assurance capabilities that Protegic spearheads," said Thompson.
"I am looking forward to the challenges ahead and to replicating these achievements on a greater scale throughout Australia and in selected neighbouring regions," he added.
