McAfee insider lands AP CTO post

McAfee has promoted Michael Sentonas to the position of vice president and chief technology officer, Asia Pacific.

“Michael is an experienced technologist and has the expertise to guide McAfee, our partners and our customers as we continue to innovate in our battle to fight cybercrime and overcome cybersecurity challenges," said worldwide CTO George Kurtz.

"Michael's knowledge of the IT security market is extensive and with his leadership we will strengthen our position as the world's largest dedicated security company," he added.

Sentonas has been with McAfee since 1999, which means he has spent most of his fifteen year IT career with the company.  His previous roles include sales engineering and services, software development, security consulting and management.

"Through my role as Asia Pacific CTO our customers and partners will be able to collaborate directly with the Office of the CTO and stay ahead in the war against cybercrime," said Sentonas.
