Logica's Holgate gains regional role

Logica Australia CEO Colin Holgate has been promoted to the role of CEO for Logica Asia Pacific.

"The appointment of Colin Holgate as CEO Asia Pacific is a recognition of the importance of the region," said Andy Green, the company's global CEO.

"Asia Pacific is a great opportunity for Logica both as a market and as a source of skills for our global operations. Logica Asia Pacific provides its clients with expertise in banking, energy and utilities, transport and logistics, and Government," he added.

Holgate has been CEO at Logica Australia since he joined the company in 2004. He was previously CEO of Praxa, and has also held senior roles at IBM, First National Bank, Deloitte Consulting, and Unisys.

"The experience of our Australian team will be critical as the Asian market look to implement similar technologies [to those used in the energy and utilities markets in Australia]," said Holgate.

"Logica Australia supported the country's first roll out of smart meters in Victoria, designing and implementing meter data management solutions, infrastructure and security protocols, as well new billing for smart meter solutions for the nation's earliest adopters," he added.
