Mobile operators get fixed price spectrum renewal in $3b Government windfall

The Government has offered Australia's three mobile operators, and vividwireless, renewal of their existing spectrum allocated on 15 year licences in the late 90s and early 2000s at set prices, while the Government expects to rake in $3 billion.

Barnett joins Rubik from Temnos

Banking SaaS provider Rubik Financial has appointed Philip Barnett as senior vice president.

"We are thrilled to have Phil join our executive team," said CEO Brent Jackson.

"With his extensive experience in the global core banking sector, he will be a key driving force in achieving Rubik’s strategy," added Jackson.

Barnett joins Rubik from Temenos, the Switzerland-based company that provides the T24 software at the heart of Rubik's Bank-in-a-Box SaaS banking platform.

He was most recently global sales director, but previously served as regional sales director and Asia Pacific sales director.

Barnett's career also includes stints with Misys, Kindle Banking Systems, and Irish Life & Permanent.

"I couldn't imagine a more exciting time to join the team – with our first Bank-in-a Box customer now in the market I look forward to driving growth," said Barnett.
