O2 makes new AsiaPac sales appointments

PDA vendor, O2 Asia Pacific, has made three new appointments: vice-president of sales for South East Asia & Oceania, vice-president of sales North Asia & Middle East and sales and marketing manager for Oceania - to streamline its business, develop existing territories and expand into new markets.

John Featherstone, who joined O2 in 2003 as vice-president for Oceania, has been promoted to vice-president of sales for South East Asia & Oceania: specifically Australia, Indonesia, Malaysia, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.

Richard Babanour, previously a sales executive, has been promoted to sales and marketing manager, Oceania. Chia Eng Keat has been appointed vice-president of sales for North Asia & the Middle East. He joined the company in 2004 as vice-president sales and distribution, Asia, His focus will be Greater China, the Indian sub-continent and the Middle East.

Featherstone and Keat will be based in O2 Asia Pacific's regional headquarters in Singapore and will report to Mark Billington, CEO, O2 Asia Pacific. Babanour will be based in Sydney and he will report to Featherstone.
