Gartner has boosted its sales efforts in the Australian and New Zealand markets with the appointment of a new head of its sales team as the company looks to further expand its research business in the Asia Pacific region.
Karl Sice, the former commercial systems
director for Sun Microsystems in Asia Pacific, has been appointed as
Gartner’s regional vice president, sales for Australia and New Zealand.
Sice is also a former head of acquisition for American Express in
Australia, and also spent seven years in sales at Dell in Australia,
Asia Pacific and Japan and the US.
Gartner’s group vice president, Asia Pacific sales, Warren Anderson,
said Sice will “set and deliver Gartner's sales and operational
strategy in Australia and New Zealand, work with the regional
leadership team to interpret global strategy for the local market, lead
a team of area sales managers and foster strong relationships with
Gartner clients.”
“Karl is a fantastic addition to the senior leadership team in Asia
Pacific as we continue to accelerate our growth in this region. His
proven ability to motivate and lead high performance teams and his
reputation for innovative approaches will make him an exceptional
leader for our ANZ business.”
