Hitachi Data Systems has appointed two new senior executives and promoted senior employees, in a move which it says will strengthen the company’s Australian management team.

Hitachi Data Systems managing director for Australia and New Zealand, Neville Vincent, has announced the appointments of Anthony Clarke, John Wiggs, Adrian De Luca and Greg Cetinich to the positions within the Australian business.

Vincent said Anthony Clarke, a 13-year veteran of the storage industry, had joined Hitachi as northern region sales director for New South Wales, Queensland and New Zealand, responsible for driving sales of Hitachi products and services. Previously, Clarke was with Sun Microsystems Storage Business for ANZ, and prior to that worked with StorageTek and IBM.

John Wiggs joins Hitachi as services delivery director for ANZ. With over 20 years in the IT industry, he previously worked with PeopleSoft and Oracle.

Two other appointments include Adrian De Luca, promoted to the newly formed role of director pre-sales and solutions ANZ, to direct a new team responsible for the development and design of the storage solutions for potential and existing customers.

Hitachi has promoted Greg Cetinich to business consulting director, responsible for overall management and delivery of business consulting services in Australia and New Zealand. Cetinich replaces Michael Cunningham, who now heads up Hitachi’s Australia and New Zealand southern region.
