Accenture Australia appoints new MD

Global consulting firm Accenture has appointed Doug Snedden as country managing director for Australia, effective January 1, 2006.  Mr Snedden is currently the acting country managing director. He has also been appointed the lead for Accenture's Outsourcing Group in Australia. Mr Snedden joined Accenture in 1980 and was promoted to partner in 1991. As country managing director for Australia, Mr Snedden assumes the role previously held by Jane Hemstritch.  Ms Hemstritch will continue as managing director Asia Pacific.
