New MD for Toshiba Australia

Toshiba Australia's incoming managing director is Mark Whittard.

Whittard takes up his new role on November 1.

He has been with Toshiba for over 10 years, most recently as general manager of the information systems division, which includes HD TVs and DVD players.

Whittard will serve in dual roles until a new general manager is appointed.

Hiroshi Kurihara, his predecessor as MD of Toshiba Australia, is returning to Japan where he will become general manager for all PC overseas sales operations.
