CA broadens Asia Pacific, Japan sales reach

IT People - People

Management software vendor, CA, has strengthened its executive management team to bolster its developing sales efforts and which the company says will deepen and broaden its sales reach across the Asia Pacific and Japan region.

CA today announced “three significant appointments” including the appointment of infrastructure management (IM) and networking expert, Stephen Miles as VP solutions sales, Vicki Batka as senior director, channel sales and Jim Fisher to the role of VP regional channel sales.

CA’s corporate senior vice president & general manager, Asia Pacific & Japan, Gavin Selkirk said today “these three pivotal appointments are indicative of the way we are fine-tuning our CA APJ management structure to deepen and broaden sales reach across the region.”

Sydney-based Fisher leads CA’s APJ partner sales strategy for enterprise products. He joined CA in 2000, following CA’s acquisition of Sterling Software, where he ran the business intelligence Asia Pacific division.

Selkirk said that Miles, previously with Bay Networks, Nortel and EMC, and now based in Singapore for CA, would drive line-of-business sales in IM, with a “sharp focus on serving telecommunications operators and carriers,” and he said the company was “uniquely positioned by an ability to provide an accelerated service management transformation for network operators through the unification of CA’s IM, application performance management and data automation products.”

Also based in Singapore, Batka now heads up CA’s recovery management & data modeling (RMDM) business in Asia Pacific, and has worked in IT across the Asia Pacific & Japan region for more than 20 years.
