Business intelligence software company, SAS Institute Australia, has appointed Mark Woodward as general manager, insurance, SAS Australia & New Zealand, based in Sydney. The role is a new one for SAS in this market - separating insurance from the company's existing financial services operations. Before joining SAS, Mr Woodward spent a total of four years with the Sydney arms of PwC Consulting and IBM Business Consulting Services. Earlier he consulted to insurance companies in the UK and mainland Europe and has also undertaken consulting assignments across Asia.
