A day after announcing new appointments and a revamp of its Australian channel partner program, Web security group, Marshal8e6, has brought in a new chief of marketing and a head of product management for its global business.
Marshal8e6 CEO, John Vigouroux - himself
appointed to the top job only recently - announced the new appointments
today and said they will accelerate the company’s drive to build on its
“global success and leadership in the Web and email security space.”
William Kilmer had been appointed chief marketing officer and Werner Thalmeier as VP of product management.
Vigouroux said Kilmer, who was formerly CEO of Avinti and also worked
for Intel, will oversee all marketing, communications and product
strategy initiatives at Marshal8e6. Werner Thalmeier, previously at
Finjan, is a 20 year IT industry veteran.
“I’m delighted to welcome William to Marshal8e6 as chief marketing
officer. “He has a proven track record from his time at Avinti of
building a talented team and business with a compelling security
solution. Under his direction, we will continue to expand Marshal8e6’s
growth in the Web and email security markets with our one stop shop
approach to protecting critical IT assets.
“The addition of Werner to the Marshal8e6 team as vice president of
product management gives us the leadership that we need to drive the
development and integration of key technology and product initiatives
that meet our customer’s needs.”
According to Vigouroux, through the company’s merger last year and the
“acquisition of Avinti this past spring, we have a unique and
compelling set of solutions that enable us to protect enterprises of
all sizes. These additions to our management team will help Marshal8e6
take advantage of our strengths and deliver superior Web and messaging
security solutions to the market.”
