Fujitsu has beefed up its Australian operations with the appointment of a new senior management team comprising a ‘cabinet’ of group executive directors including senior executives who came across to Fujitsu with the recent acquisitions of KAZ and Supply Chain Consulting.
Former KAZ CEO, Mike Foster, has been appointed
as Fujitsu’s group executive director of sales and business development
for Australia and New Zealand, with overall responsibility for the
growth of Fujitsu’s business with new capabilities from the recent
acquisitions of KAZ and Supply Chain Consulting.
Also appointed to the Fujitsu cabinet are the former head of Supply
Chain Consulting, Ian Hodge, who will have overall responsibility of
Fujitsu’s SAP practice, and Michael Blake, who will look after the
company’s federal government business.
At the previously Telstra-owned KAZ, Foster directed Telstra service
solutions, having joined Telstra in March 2000 as the managing
director, Telstra business & government sales.
Prior to nine years working at Telstra, Foster was managing director,
Australia & New Zealand for EMC and managing director of NCR
Australia. He was also on the boards of Telstra New Wave, TelstraClear,

Marketing Institute Advisory Council.
Fujitsu CEO for Australia and New Zealand, Rod Vawdrey, said today
Foster would ensure that a seamless transition continues with the
integration of the recent acquisitions.
Vawdrey said Foster would be “responsible for driving the business
strategy at the enterprise level and accelerating the firm’s presence
as the third largest ICT company in the Australian and New Zealand
marketplace.”
Vawdrey also announced the appointment of Ian Hodge as group executive
director of enterprise solutions for Australia and New Zealand, and
Michael Blake to the position of group executive director of federal
government for Fujitsu Australia, responsible for driving the Fujitsu
offerings with the Federal Government.
