AAPT boosts management team from within

AAPT has drawn from within its own ranks to boost its senior management team as chief executive, Paul Broad pursues a strategy to drive increased business to its consumer, business and wholesale divisions.

Announcing three new senior managers, the AAPT chief said today the appointees reflected the company’s continued growth strategy and the “ramping up of all three areas of our business in the next 12 months.”

Broad announced the appointment of Nick Saphin as general manager consumer and corporate marketing, Mark Rafferty has taken up the position of general manager business solutions and Stephen Dunn has been appointed general manager of wholesale.

Saphin joined AAPT from PowerTel in 2007, when Telecom NZ acquired the business telco, and prior to PowerTel he worked with EnergyAustralia. Rafferty was previously AAPT’s Queensland Manager and also worked with PowerTel as its Queensland manager, and previous to that with IntraPower. Dunn was previously AAPT’s head of international carriers for AAPT and has also worked in the IT&T industry in Australia and internationally for more than 14 years.
