Indonesian IT services group, Mitrais is bringing a greater focus to its Australian business, making two senior appointments to drive its Asia Pacific regional expansion.
Bali-based Mitrais has appointed Charles Trader
to look after its software development line of business and also
brought in Peter Barnett, an accountant by profession, as a director of
Mitrais Pte Ltd to assist with the regional expansion of the Mitrais
group.
According to Mitrais CEO, David Magson, Trader will work with
Australian organisations that use Mitrais’ services, with his
responsibility for the management of people, performance and technology
acrosss the software development line of business.
Trader, who joined Mitrais in 2000, has a degree in electrical
engineering from Institute Teknologi Bandung (ITB), while Peter Barnett
MBE has extensive experience in Europe, Asia and Australia, most
recently as CFO of smallgoods company, KR Castlemaine Foods.
Magson says Barnett is a “skilled and resourceful financial and
operational executive who spent more than 26 years in South East Asia
in hotels and leisure, garment trading and
business consultancy before
immigrating to Australia in 2005.”
Established in 2000 using Indonesia as a base of operations, Mitrais’

be a leading near-shore provider to Australian software developers, as
well as a major force in the Indonesia domestic market.
