New GM for Samsung Communications

IT People - People

Enterprise IP communications solutions vendor and distributor, Samsung Communications, has appointed a new general manager for its Australian business.

To be based at the company’s Melbourne head offices, Brett McInnes joins Samsung Communications as general manager with previous experience in the telecoms industry in Australia, the Asia Pacific region and Europe with Telstra, MCI and Ovum Consulting.

Prior to joining Samsung, McInnes most recently worked with Panasonic Australia where he headed the business unit responsible for PBX solutions and home communications products.

According to McInnes, Samsung Communications is in a very strong position as a “leading player in the important growth product areas of IP telephony, enterprise mobility and unified communications within the SMB market,” and, he says, the company will grow its business and market share steadily "while other vendor brands will struggle with the shift towards IP solutions and the changing economic conditions.”
