Enterprise content management group, Open Text, has appointed a new sales head of  its SAP business for the Australian and New Zealand markets.

Previously six years with Adobe, Lee Gale has joined Open Text as SAP sales director, based in Sydney. Prior to working with Adobe, Gale was a national partner manager at SolNet and, before that he was with Rothschild Australia and J.P. Morgan.

Open Text’s general manager and VP for Asia Pacific and Japan, Graham Pullen, says Gale’s appointment and his expertise will “significantly enhance our capability to offer organisations a complete range of capabilities for managing information that originates from customers’ SAP applications,” and, he adds, “a major benefit to Open Text in Australia and New Zealand.”

Pullen says Gale joins Open Text with more than 10 years’ experience in the IT industry, including channel development, partner management, enterprise sales, technology services delivery and help desk support.

Gale joints Open Text from six years with Adobe Systems working in a variety of partner management roles, most recently as SAP Partner Sales Manager for the Asia Pacific region.

Pullen says Open Text's solutions for use with SAP are offered as part of the Open Text ECM Suite, which, he adds, “brings together the broad range of content management capabilities organisations need to securely and safely manage all types of enterprise information.”
