New appointments support Sonic market push

Network security vendor, SonicWALL, has beefed up its Australian and New Zealand team to help drive growth in the enterprise security hardware market.

SonicWALL’s channel manager for Australia and New Zealand, Dean Redman, says the company has made three new appointments to support its growing enterprise focus, including the launch of new products.

Redman announced the appointment of Simon Ell as enterprise account manager, Troy Cunningham as systems engineer and Yvette Miodek as territory account manager.

According to Redman, the appointments compliment the company's enterprise push for this year, with SonicWALL to launch a range of new enterprise security hardware devices during the year.

“We need the right people in place to help support these offerings. Yvette, Simon and Troy bring significant experience in the enterprise to SonicWALL and we look forward to using their expertise to help grow this market further."

Redman said a key focus for Ell would be the development and execution of the company’s
enterprise strategy which, he said, was focussed on identifying and meeting the demand for SonicWALL solutions, while also assisting SonicWALL channel partners with competitive positioning and closing sales.

Cunningham's key focus, according to Redman, is to provide pre-sales support on all technical aspects of SonicWALL products and solutions for the Australian and New
Zealand channel community.

Yvette Miodek, who has 13 years experience in the IT industry, has joined SonicWALL from MYOB where she managed the southern region partner channel for the enterprise division.
