3Com chases growth with another appointment

IT People - People

As it moves forward with its Australian expansion plans, 3Com has followed its recent appointment of a manager for its Queensland operations with today’s appointment of Rob Lawrence to the position of account director for the state to service the company’s government and education sector enterprise clients.

Grant Howe, 3Com country manager for Australia and New Zealand, says Lawrence’s 18 years of experience in the Queensland market would provide additional value for the company’s sales and marketing teams as 3Com focus on fulfilling customers’ business needs and regional expansion.

Howe said Lawrence would work closely with the channel to develop new and existing partnerships.

Lawrence joins 3Com from five years with Citrix where he was as a territory manager for Queensland, the Northern Territory and the Pacific Islands.  He was responsible for Citrix’s whole-of-government strategy for Queensland.

Earlier this week, 3Com announced the appointment of Angela Hughes as Queensland state manager, and in April Murray Holzworth, formerly with CITEC, was appointed as 3Com’s regional director for the Asia Pacific region with responsibility to increase the company’s market share with a “niche focus on 3Com’s channel and end-user communities.”
