Enterprise resource planning (ERP) software provider, Lawson Software, has set about expanding its business in the professional services sector, with the appointment of a new head of its Australian and New Zealand professional services division.
David Hope, VP and Asia Pacific regional
director for Lawson today announced the appointment of Axel van der
Smagt as director of professional services with the responsibility of
expanding business in the ANZ market through the delivery of “rapid and
predictable software implementation services to customers.“
Based in Sydney, Van der Smagt will report to Trygve Slette, Lawson
services director for Asia Pacific & Japan, and will be responsible
for the provision of services to Lawson customers in industries
including manufacturing and distribution, equipment service management
and rental, food and fashion.
With more than 20 years experience in the enterprise software industry,
Van der Smagt was previously Lawson’s director of partner engagement,
responsible for selecting and training the company’s partner
organisations across ANZ.
Prior to joining Lawson, Van der Smagt worked for SAP and before that
with JD Edwards, PeopleSoft and Oracle. He also worked with KPMG,
PricewaterhouseCoopers and IBM.
