ACIL Tasman loses three economists to CRA

Economics consultancy CRA International has appointed three economists from rival firm ACIL Tasman- two of whom had been with the firm for close to 20 years - to its Canberra office.

The are Peter Crowley, Greg Cutbush and Greg Martin who have joined the firm to focus on competition, public policy, and agribusiness issues.

CRA International was formerly Network Economics Consulting Group (NECG). It was acquired by US-based Charles River Associates in 2004 and later renamed CRA International.

Peter Crowley is an economist who has worked in a diverse range of fields, including international trade and finance, macroeconomic policy, competition policy, industry policy, taxation, and environmental policy. He was a senior economist at ACIL Tasman and before that chief economist at the Australian Mining Industry Council.

Greg Cutbush's experience encompasses projects in agricultural, defence, environmental economics, and advising on trade policy and private sector development throughout Asia Pacific and Africa. He had been a senior economist at ACIL Tasman since 1988.

Greg Martin joins CRA as an industry analyst specialising in industry and policy analysis for manufacturing, the rural sector, and service industry clients. He has been with ACIL Tasman since 1986.
