SPSS announces ANZ manager

Predictive analytics software vendor, SPSS, has appointed Tim Macdermid as Australian country manager.  Based in Sydney, Macdermid will be responsible for overall sales, service and support across both Australia and New Zealand. With 16 years' experience in the IT industry, Macdermid joins SPSS from Hyperion where he was sales director. Macdermid has also worked with PeopleSoft as director of sales for services, and Vignette as director of sales. Macdermid's initial experience in the IT industry was gained at IRI, a market research company specialising in scan data collection, analysis and Business Intelligence. He joined the company as southern region manager based in Melbourne before being appointed its sales director prior to IRI's acquisition by Oracle in 1995 when he became manager of Oracle's Business Intelligence group.
