Telstra has revealed the addition of almost one million new mobile services in the six months to December 2011, but Sensis revenues plummeted 24 percent in 12 months.

Mobile internet provider Alacrity Technologies has appointed Andy Becker, former Electoral Commissioner of the Australian Electoral Commission, as a non-executive director. Becker's previous career includes eight years at the AEC as Electoral Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner and prior to that, 16 years as the South Australian Electoral Commissioner. At the AEC, Becker managed the 2001 and 2004 federal elections and oversaw the Constitutional Convention election and the 1999 referendum.
