Andrew Butterworth appointed managing director of Alcatel-Lucent Australia

Alcatel-Lucent has appointed Andrew Butterworth as the managing director of its Australian operations. Previously Butterworth was vice president of Alcatel-Lucent’s Service Business Group in Australasia.

In this new role Butterworth is responsible for the Australian operations and driving company growth across Alcatel-Lucent’s key markets; namely service providers, enterprises, and selected verticals through technology leadership in IP, optical, mobile and fixed broadband and applications.

With over 16 years of IT and telecommunications experience, Butterworth joined the company (then Alcatel) in February 2005.

Butterworth reports to Sean Dolan, president of the Asia Pacific and China Region for Alcatel-Lucent, and will continue to be based in Melbourne.
