IT&T analyst and consulting group Ovum has appointed Jens Butler as Principal Analyst, IT Services, in its Asia-Pacific team, based in Sydney.
Butler has previously held senior positions at
Gartner, META Group and IDC covering the services, sourcing and
benchmarking markets. In addition, he has worked within the consulting
industry at Fujitsu Consulting, Deloitte and SAIC within a strategy
creation, programme and performance management, merger integration,
governance and operational excellence capacity.
Butler has also presented at conferences, roadshows and senior
management groups within Australia and internationally on a variety of
sourcing, services and benchmarking areas.

brings a wealth of experience within the IT Services space, globally as
well as locally. He is well-connected with the industry, having worked
on both sides of the fence and especially within competing analyst
firms”.
Butler will be responsible for conducting research on IT Services such
as Sourcing, Social Computing, Sustainability as well as IT Services
vendor profiling.
