Storage vendor, Network Appliance, has promoted the Managing Director of Australia and New Zealand, Simon Green, to area director, South Asia.
In his new role, Green will be in charge of the operations of NetApp beyond Australia and New Zealand to incorporate ASEAN countries, India and Hong Kong.
Tom Chin, Vice President Asia Pacific Sales noted, “Simon’s customer centricity is at the heart of his success and ultimately that of NetApp. By putting the needs of his customers first, Simon has increased revenues by 50 per cent year on year since financial year 2000/1, due in part to his ongoing work with Australia’s largest telco and four of its largest financial institutions.”
Green said, “This is an exciting time for the IT industry, as customers sort through various corporate governance and compliance issues, they look to NetApp as a trusted advisor for their data integrity, security and storage issues.”
Green joined NetApp in early 2000 as the local southern region manager based in Melbourne, when NetApp acquired the operations of its Australian distributor ProVision.
