Kane is Bebo's new Mister Mobile

Social network Bebo has appointed Sean Kane as its global head of mobile.

"Sean has an impressive background in building businesses and in the delivery of mobile platforms," said Ziv Navoth, senior vice president for marketing and business development.

"We feel confident that he will enable Bebo to deliver the best 'social mobile' experience on the web to our users, who increasingly are logging on from their mobile phones to consume, create, discover and share great content."

Kane was most recently general manager international at Intercasting Corporation. He previously held senior positions with Vivendi Universal Net, MP3.com Japan, and the City of San Diego.

Bebo is part of AOL, and claims around 80 million users worldwide.
