Packeteer, a developer of WAN application optimisation technology, has appointed Ursula Malgas as business development manager, LAN Systems. She will be located at the Melbourne office of Packeteer distributor, LAN Systems, which is responsible for providing specialised pre-sales support and expertise to channel partners and for growing the Packeteer business within the LAN Systems reseller network. She reports to Leigh Howard, national sales manager, LAN Systems. Previoulsy she worked for Trend Micro as Southern Region business development manager - SME. Her appointment mirrors that of Mark Elliott, appointed last month to build Packeteer's sales through Express Data.
