Bob bobs up at BearingPoint

Consulting firm BearingPoint has appointed Bob Hennessy as the managing director of its financial services business in Australia.

"Experienced and highly capable people are essential to our ability to deliver outstanding results to our customers," said Charles Cochran, South Asia regional leader.

"Bob's experience in his previous executive roles in the telecommunications and financial services industries enables us to build BearingPoint's services in these two key growth sectors."

Hennessy was most recently general manager, technology and shared services at AAPT, and his three decade career in technology and financial services includes a stint as CIO at TNT's Asia Pacific and Australia operation. He holds a Bachelor of Mathematics degree from Wollongong University.

"I have worked with BearingPoint as a partner on a highly successful business transformation project and have seen first hand the value it creates," said Hennessy.

"For me, it was a great opportunity to join a growing technology and management consultancy at an exciting time in the financial services and telecommunications sectors."
