Mehra makes the move to Melbourne to join Infosys

Infosys Australia has appointed Asheesh Mehra to head the company's Asia Pacific business process outsourcing practice.

"In the last six months most insurance companies in the US have implemented offshore BPO and we expect Australia to follow suit with the banking, finance and insurance sectors tipped to lead the charge," he said.

Mehra joins Infosys' Melbourne office from WNS Global Services in Chicago where he was vice president global sales for insurance. He previously worked in the BPO sphere in India and the UK.

He is a member of the International Association for Outsourcing Professionals and holds a marketing degree from the University of Sydney.
