Smith's the name, CA channel sales is the game

CA appointed Allan Smith vice president, channel sales, Pacific. Smith was previously vice president of sales for CA Pacific.

"Allan's solid industry track record with CA, especially in sales, will stand him in good stead to make a major contribution to our channel partner strategy," said Gavin Selkirk, CA's senior vice president and general manager for Asia Pacific and Japan.

The majority of Smith's 30-year management and sales career has been with CA, and his earlier positions include country manager roles in Australia, Korea and Hong Kong.

Before joining the company he was CEO for Australia and New Zealand at Ariba and was technical support operations maanger at the Commonwealth Bank of Australia.
