Havlik hops the Pacific with Avocent

IT infrastructure management vendor Avocent has appointed Ed Havlik as Country Manager, Australia and New Zealand.

"Ed has brought significant success to his previous positions within Avocent and we look forward to the impact he will have on our ability to deliver quality, business outcomes to our customers' infrastructure management requirements in the ANZ market," said Ryan Sia, vice president for Asia Pacific.

Havlik was previously based in the US, where he managed the company's relationships with partners such as CSC, EDS and IBM. He has also worked as Avocent's country manager for Japan, and in sales and management roles at Metamor, Panasonic, and Commodore Systems.

He holds a degree in Business Administration - Marketing from San Diego State University.
